Today’s dip into the Museum archive takes us 6 miles out of Okehampton to Bridestowe in the war. Does anyone know anything about the Bridestowe Salvage Soldiers in October 1942? We are assuming it was In connection with the school’s collection of salvage (rags and waste paper) and that possibly the trophy in the photo was awarded to them to say thank you for their efforts? Also, any help with the missing names would be brilliant!
