When The Train Came To Town

October 2021 was the 150th anniversary of the first train coming to Okehampton Station. To join in the Town’s celebrations the Museum hosted an exhibition looking at the history of the station, how it affected the Town and also looking forward, to how it may change Okehampton again after  the reopening of the Dartmoor line in November 2021.

Come and see the wonderful archive photographs, look at railway exhibits, read stories from the past and hear the voice of the last Station Master.
